Kayak Tours
All of our kayak tours are lead by a certified WNC naturalist. We use tandem sit on top open kayaks and include life vests.
We do offer single kayaks for an additional fee. Ages 6 and up. We have 2 person minimums set up on our tours, if you are a solo traveler give us a call and we will see if there is a tour that we can add you to or set up a private tour just for you!
All of our kayak tours are available as a private tour call us for pricing and availability. Most of our lake kayak tours include transportation, if you would prefer to meet at the lake just give us a call and we can make arrangements with you.
French River Broad Kayak Tour
Paddle the French Broad River and sight see Asheville as you go. Learn about local flora and fauna with your certified naturalist guide. Tour includes a sneak peak of the Biltmore Estate. We use tandem kayaks for our tours, upgrade to a single for $25. We meet at Hominy Creek River Park in Asheville and we will transport you to the put in spot at Bent Creek River Park. That way the tour ends where your car is parked!

Lake Lure Kayak Tour
Just 45 minutes to an hour from Asheville sits the tranquil waters of Lake Lure. One of the most beautiful man-made lakes in the country, Lake Lure is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Located about 27 miles from Asheville, Lake Lure sits in the Hickory Nut Gorge, surrounded by lush mountain tops and sheer granite cliffs. Look up to see the famous Chimney Rock. We meet at the Asheville Visitor’s Center in downtown Asheville. We will tranasport you to and from Lake Lure.

Lake James
Beautiful Lake James is about 1 hour from Asheville. Steep, forested ridges covered with mixed hardwoods, pines and hemlocks dominate the landscape. Wildflowers are abundant and include pink lady slipper, Jack-in-the-pulpit, passion flower, Indian pipe and cardinal flower. Mountain laurel, rhododendron and flame azalea are also abundant in the hilly terrain. Some of the fauna include Deer, flying squirrel, red and gray fox, rabbit, muskrat and mink all reside at Lake James State Park. Waterfowl – including green heron, belted kingfisher, mallard and Canada goose. The skies are also home to pileated woodpeckers, hawks and owls. Reptiles include eastern box turtle and fence lizard, while amphibians – including northern red salamanders, eastern red-spotted newts and tree frogs – frequently may be found along park trails. We meet at the Asheville Visitor’s Center in downtown Asheville. We transport you to Lake James and back.

Lake Junaluska
Gorgeous Lake Junaluska has been a mountain retreat for the Methodist church since the early 1900s. It’s at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains near Waynesville and Maggie Valley, about 30 minutes west of Asheville. Since the retreats mission is to “renew the soul, mind, and body” it’s a perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in a very scenic setting. We meet at the Asheville Visitor’s Center in downtown Asheville. We will transport you to and from Lake Junaluska.

Lake Julian
Just outside of Asheville sits Lake Julian. More of an urban setting, Lake Julian offers a close kayak experience. Get out on the water for a paddle workout and still have the rest of the day to explore Asheville. We meet at the Asheville Visitor’s Center in downtown Asheville. and we will transport you to and from Lake Julian.
